Using Dynoroad is as easy as mounting the dyno to the wheel of the vehicle, pressing the Power button and pairing it with the mobile device.

Fasten your seat belts and start your engine. Once you have activated your car dynamo with a Magicmotorsport account, you will need to enter your car details to make accurate measurements. You can quickly calibrate the DynoRoad by maintaining 40 km / h for at least 20 seconds. When the calibration is successful, car dynamics is ready to go.

What is a dynamometer?

A dynamometer, or dynamometer for short, is a device for measuring force, moment of force (torque) or power. For example, the power generated by a motor, motor or other rotating prime mover can be calculated by simultaneously measuring torque and rotational speed (rpm).

How does a dyno test work?

Setup

First, attach the DynoRoad to the vehicle wheel on the non-drive axle.

After mounting the dynamometric probe with the connections provided, press the ON / OFF switch.

After pressing the ON / OFF button, the white STATUS LED flashes.

From this moment on, it will be possible to connect the car dynamo to the App and be guided in power tests.

Fasten your seat belt and start the engine: After activating the device via the MAGICMOTORSPORT account, the configuration will be started.

On the first screen, configure the measurement by specifying the parameters: name and brand of the vehicle, its size and mass, and the tire size.

Calibrate the car dynamo maintaining 40 km / h for at least 20 seconds. Once the calibration is successful, DynoRoad is ready for the first measurement.

Measurement

Measurement consists of two stages:

Stage 1. Acceleration

Phase 2. Automatic deceleration after idle. The second stage takes about 10 seconds. The program automatically announces the end of the deceleration phase with an audible signal.

Press CONTINUE to start measuring. The message "You can move" is displayed. Vehicle power measurement is usually done at the third or fourth gear in the current engine speed range.

In order to calculate the correct torque and get the correct graph, then it is recommended to move at low speed, first and second gear, after engaging third or fourth gear, start measurement.

 Allows you to enter a very precise acceleration time up to 100 km / h, 200 km / h and drive for ¼ mile lengths where engine performance can be measured and evaluated.

Regardless of transmission type, the GO button and accelerator pedal will be in the same position.

After reaching the required speed or measuring range, the vehicle can be stopped. Power values will be incorrect while braking, but the acceleration results will be correct and will automatically appear on the screen when a certain speed is reached along the road.
